Gunman in Toronto office shooting blamed two men he killed for ‘losing life’s savings’ in mortgage scam

Toronto Police Service are investigating the murder of Arash Missaghi, 54, of Toronto, and Samira Yousefi, 44, of Concord. The third deceased is a 46-year old man who is believed to be responsible for the shooting.

On June 17, 2024, at 3:35 p.m., police were called for a shooting at an office building on Mallard Road, near Don Mills Road. Police say that an altercation took place in a business that resulted in a shooting. When police arrived they found three people deceased.

The victims have been identified as Arash Missaghi, 54, of Toronto, and his business partner Samira Yousefi, 44, of Concord.

Police didn’t identify the third deceased who they said was responsible for the shooting but his wife has told media that his name Alan Kats and that he “couldn’t handle losing our life’s savings” in what she said was a mortgage fraud he accused Missaghi and Yousefi.
