Calgary Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect believed to be involved in a March 2024 homicide.
Evidence has led investigators to one suspect who is believed to have been involved in a fatal shooting that occurred at the Super 8 hotel located at 60 Shawville Road S.E.
At approximately 3 p.m., on Monday, March 25, Calgary Police responded to a hotel in the 0-100 block of Shawville Road S.E., for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a man within one of the suites suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was declared deceased at the scene.
Investigators believe this is a targeted incident that occurred in the suite where the man was found and presented no risk to other hotel guests.
After exhausting all investigative avenues to identify the suspect, Calgary Police are now asking for help from the public.
The suspect is described as a man in his 20s with a slim build and being approximately 6’ tall. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing blue shoes, camouflage jeans and a long, green winter coat. He was last seen driving a grey 2016 to 2018 Ford Focus with a hatchback.

It is believed the suspect has ties to Edmonton.
“We are asking anyone who believes they have information that will help us identify this individual to come forward,” says Acting Staff Sgt. John Pearson. “One man lost his life, and the person responsible needs to be held accountable.”
