Two Red Deer men charged in murder of Jason Cory Worobec

RCMP have charged Red Deer residents Lance Michael Bilsky, 45, and Corey Duane Archer, 46. Bilsky was charged with second-degree-murder while Archer was charged with accessory after the fact to murder. 

They are charged in the death of 54-year-old Red Deer resident Jason Cory Worobec.

On March 21, at 3:51 p.m. Red Deer RCMP received a report of a shooting that occurred at an apartment building on Parke Avenue in Red Deer. As officers arrived, a suspect was observed running from the area.

After a short foot pursuit, the male was arrested and a firearm seized. A second male suspect was also located near the scene and arrested. Other officers arriving on scene located a deceased person who has been identified as Worobec.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crime Unit was dispatched and has taken over the investigation. 

Both Bilsky and Archer were taken before a justice of the Peace and remanded into custody.  Archer will next appear in court on March 25, while Bilsky will next appear in court on March 27, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Red Deer.
