Christopher MEER is subject of a Canada Wide Warrant for the following charges: 3 counts of Arson, 2 counts of Extortion, 1 count of Obstruct Justice, 1 count of Conspiracy to Commit Arson, 1 count Conspiracy to Commit Extortion, and 1 count Conspiracy to Obstruct Justice.
After an exhaustive investigation, the Edmonton Police Service is seeking the public’s help in locating Christopher MEER.
The Edmonton Police Commission has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
CBC reported that Meer is accused of masterminding a wave of violence against former business associates in 2007 and having his son and his son’s friends act as “foot soldiers” to carry out the acts.
In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Christopher David Meer and his father, Jonathan David Meer, worked together as business partners.
Police say the Meers owed substantial amounts of money to workers and partners and had no intention of settling their differences. These debts accumulated and the situation worsened for the Meer’s.
By January 15, 2007, a complainant issued a $1,200,000 judgment against Jonathan Meer through the Province of Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench. But Edmonton police say neither Christopher nor Jonathan Meer had any intention of paying up.
