Saskatoon Police investigate 3rd homicide of 2024

Saskatoon Police Service Major Crime Section is investigating a homicide that occurred Friday night, Feb. 16.

At approximately 12:25 am, Feb. 17, patrol officers responded to an injured person in a home on the 200 block of Avenue I South. Once at scene officers located a 48-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to hospital for treatment, however, succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Next of kin has been notified and police are not releasing the name of the deceased at this time. The victim and and suspect are known to each other.

The Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections continue to investigate Saskatoon’s third homicide of 2024.
