Police arrested Shania Heathen, 23, of Lloydminster, and Jarett Scanie, 27, from Cold Lake after a police chase in stolen vehicles.
On Feb. 12, at about 7 p.m., Cold Lake RCMP got a tip from the public about the location of a stolen vehicle in the area of Highway 897 and Township Road 604 in Cold Lake.
After proactive patrols in the area, and with help from Alberta RCMP Police Dog Services, police were able to locate the vehicle on Cold Lake First Nations, along with another vehicle that had been previously reported stolen.
Police initiated a traffic stop with both stolen vehicles and both fled police.
A tire deflation device was successfully deployed on both vehicles, leading to the arrest of the two suspects.

Scanie was charged with flight from a police officer, dangerous driving, two counts of failing to comply with a release order, driving while prohibited, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime less than or equal to $5,000.
Heathen was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Scanie and Heathen were brought before a justice of the peace and remanded in custody. They are to appear on Feb. 21 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Cold Lake.
