Mayerthorpe RCMP arrested a woman and seized meth, cocaine and fentanyl following a vehicle stop on Dec. 24.
They got a report of a suspicious and possibly impaired driver of a vehicle in the Lac Ste Anne area. After locating the vehicle, a roadside stop was conducted.
When officers spoke with the female driver, they noticed several suspicious items in plain view, officers detained and subsequently arrested the driver for drug-related offences and searched the vehicle.
They seized 252g of suspected methamphetamine, 1.7g of suspect cocaine, 1.6g of suspected fentanyl, $2,715 in cash in multiple denominations, break and enter tools, bear mace, and ammunition.

Jamie Lynn Day, 31, was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking (methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl), possession of break-in tools, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and four counts of failing to comply with a release order.
Day was brought before a justice of the peace and released on conditions. She is to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Mayerthorpe on Jan. 25, 2024.
