Grande Prairie RCMP have charged 29-year-old Nathan Landry with first-degree murder in the death of 34-year-old Brian Buchaski.
Landry appeared in court on Dec. 11, and was remanded into custody. His next court date is set for Jan., 8, 2024, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Grande Prairie.

On Dec. 4, at 12:05 p.m., police responded to a call of a person who had been found deceased in a wooded area near Westside Park. The death was later deemed suspicious and Edmonton RCMP Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation, assisted by Grande Prairie General Investigation Section.
