Innisfail RCMP held its 27th annual Charity Checkstop this past weekend. They raised $14,065 in cash and cheques. Additionally, about three truck-loads of high-quality toys and new clothing items were collected for the Innisfail Christmas Bureau. As well, 595 pounds of food was donated for the Innisfail food bank by the citizens of Innisfail and the surrounding area.
The items will be donated to charities the Innisfail Food Bank, the Innisfail Christmas Bureau, the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre and the Youth Positive Assets Coalition.

Innisfail RCMP thanks local businesses for providing incredible donations, including Nestle Purina, Central Alberta CO-OP, Dark Woods, Dairy Queen, Subway, Tim Hortons, Field & Forge, A&W, 7-11, Boston Pizza, and the Coffee Cottage.
They also acknowledge the numerous volunteers who made this event possible. Volunteers were from the Innisfail Fire Department, the Town of Innisfail Community Peace Officers, Corrections Services Canada, Innisfail Victim Services, the Christmas Bureau, the Food Bank, the Youth Positive Assets Coalition, The Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre.
They also thank Ron King for being their Santa Claus and Courtney Malone for being Safety Bear as well as providing the Christmas Music.
