Ottawa Police arrested 48-year-old Majid Fathalipoorsaloei and charged him with dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving causing bodily.
Fathalipoorsaloei made his first appearance in Ottawa court on Nov. 27.
Ottawa Police say Fathalipoorsaloei was the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in her 30s on Oct. 2 and injured a second pedestrian on Charlotte Street.
