A 34-year-old man was stabbed to death in Vancouver’s downtown Eastside Nov. 21.
“The victim was found lying in the middle of the busy sidewalk mid-block, on the south side of East Hastings, between Columbia and Carrall Streets”, said VPD Constable Jason Doucette. “This sidewalk is enclosed by a construction tunnel. We know there are witnesses who saw what happened and we are asking them to come forward.”
Just after 3 p.m. on Tuesday a person walking along the sidewalk stopped when they noticed the victim bleeding on the ground and called 911. Emergency services arrived and the unresponsive victim was rushed to hospital where he died.
No arrests have been made yet and investigators from the VPD’s Homicide Unit would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage around that time.
Anyone with information is asked to call 604-717-2500.
