Three people are dead and two more are in critical condition after a shooting in Winnipeg Sunday morning.
On Nov. 26, at about 4:05 a.m., Winnipeg Police General Patrol members from Downtown, West District, North District and East District responded to the 100 block of Langside Street for the report of multiple injured people.
Attending officers found five people with injuries consistent with being shot. A man and woman were pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional victims were located and taken to hospital in critical condition. One man transported to hospital has since succumbed to his injuries. A man and woman remain in hospital in critical condition.
The Homicide Unit continues to investigate. The victims’ identities are still being confirmed, and notifications are pending.
The Winnipeg Police Service Forensic Services Unit will be on scene for an extended period due to the gravity of this incident.
