On July 3, the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) was directed to investigate potential fraud from an association involving a Lacombe Police Service officer.
Initial indications were that the fraud was more than $200,000 and had occurred over many years.
No additional information will be released at this stage of the ASIRT investigation. ASIRT’s mandate is to effectively, independently and objectively investigate incidents involving Alberta’s police that have resulted in serious injury or death
