RCmP have charged a male teenager from Grandmother’s Bay with second-degree murder. He appeared in La Ronge Provincial Court on Aug. 5.
On Aug. 2, at approximately 7:15 a.m., Stanley Mission RCMP received a report of an injured male at a residence on the Lac La Ronge Indian Band community of Grandmother’s Bay.
Officers responded and located a seriously injured male, who was later pronounced deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as 23-year-old Dillon Charles from Grandmother’s Bay. His family has been notified and victim services made available to them.
The death was considered suspicious, and a male teenager was arrested at the scene. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took over of the investigation.
The youth can’t be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
