The Winnipeg Police Service’s Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with the murder of 39-year-old Ralph Moise.
Investigators have identified 33-year-old Paul Xavier Bonnick as the suspect and have issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest on charges of second-degree murder.
Police are warning the public not to approach Bonnick if spotted, as he may be armed and dangerous.
On May 23, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded to a report of an injured man in the 300 block of Cumberland Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a male victim on the ground with serious upper body injuries.
Officers provided emergency medical care, including the use of chest seals, before the victim was transported to hospital in critical condition. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Moise was a member of the Sayisi Dene First Nation who resided in Tadoule Lake.
