The Toronto Police Service have made arrests in the Feb. 4 murder of 16-year-old Isiah Fogah. He is Toronto’s second homicide victim of 2025.
On March 1, 2025, investigators announced the arrests of Elliut Xavier Yera, 18, of Toronto, and Shamone Pompey-Thomas, 20, of Toronto. They are both charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder of a second victim, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Unit arrested a third individual in connection with this homicide. Taven Tinashe Cassoma, 18, of Toronto, was charged with second-degree murder, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm.
He is scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 10 a.m., in room 107.
The other male victim who sustained serious injuries is 19 years old.
