Following the seizure of a new form of deadly fentanyl, Winnipeg Police Service’s Guns & Gangs Unit arrested four people and have issued a warrant for a fifth person.
On March 1, Winnipeg Police said they are searching for 44-year-old Dennis Lawrence Russel Spence.
They arrested David Cameron Gray, 51, of Winnipeg, and Amy Jose Lynn Gray, 21, and Destiny Dawn Gray, 37, all of Winnipeg.

The police investigation had continued after they issued an alert to the public on Feb. 1 about the new form of fentanyl pressed to look like cur-out cookies, colourful candles, and soaps or confections.
During the investigation, approximately $225,000 worth of drugs and approximately $53,000 in Canadian cash were seized.
David Cameron Gray was arrested on Feb. 20 as part of the drug investigation during a traffic stop at Logan Ave. and Gunnell Street. He was in possession of approximately 561 grams of Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $84,150, approximately $6,020 Canadian currency, a cell phone and scale. He was charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property over $5,000 obtained by crime, possession of proceeds of property under $5,000 obtained by crime, and three counts of possession of a firearm, restricted/prohibited weapon, firearm part of ammunition.
He was remanded in custody.
The WPS Guns & Gangs Unit, with help from the Tactical Support Team (TST), executed a search warrant at an apartment complex in the 800 block of Winnipeg Avenue and three females were taken into custody.
At that home, offices seized approximately 10 ounces of Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $15,000, approximately 10 grams of Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $2,250, approximately 15 Fentanyl patches with a street value of $3,000, 15 rounds shotgun ammunition, .22 calibre ammunition, including a loaded magazine, and $1,625 in Canadian currency.
Amy Gray and Destiny Gray were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property under $5,000 obtained by crime.
Both were remanded in custody.
A 32-year-old woman from Winnipeg was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. She was released on an undertaking. Police didn’t release her name.
A second search warrant was executed at a home in the 300 block of Atkins Street and police seized approximately 1827 grams Methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $91,300, approximately 223 grams Cocaine with an estimated street value of $22,300, approximately 33 grams of Fentanyl with an estimated street value of $5,000, an assortment of opioid pills: T3, Alprazolam, and Hydromorphone with an estimated street value of $2,200, approximately $45,000 Canadian currency, scales, cutting agent and packaging materials, and cell phones.
