Alberta RCMP Major Crimes arrested Garry Dean Brown, 61, of Vulcan County and charged him with second-degree murder in the death of a 28-year-old Lethbridge woman.
On Sept. 17, 2024 at approximately 11:14 a.m., Oyen RCMP were dispatched to a location where clothing and other personal effects were found in a treeline along a rural road. The matter was deemed suspicious and Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was dispatched to the area and took over the investigation.
Police found a woman deceased.
Brown was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Sept. 25 at the Alberta Court of Justice in Hanna, Alta.
