Cody Lyle
Edmonton Police have charged 30-year-old Jayden Cody Francis Cardinal with second-degree murder in the death of 35-year-old Cody Lyle.
On Feb. 5, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Northeast Branch patrol officers responded to the report of a stabbing in a residence in the area of 35 Street and 122A Avenue. When they arrived, they discovered Cody Lyle in medical distress.
EMS responded and transported Lyle to hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
On Feb. 6, 2024, the Edmonton Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and determined that Lyle’s cause of death was a stab wound and manner of death was homicide.
