Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team Arrest two prolific offenders

On Dec. 14, 2023, the Red Deer RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) arrested and charged Zacharias Paradoski  and Nicholas Wales following a stolen property investigation.

Red Deer RCMP CRT observed a suspicious vehicle attend two separate businesses within Red Deer and stole wheels off vehicles at these businesses. RCMP were able to stop and arrest the two males from the suspicious car. 

During the arrest, one of the suspects threw a backpack, which police recovered. The backpack contained multiple cell phones, cash, and drugs.

Further investigation revealed the car had been stolen from Edmonton and the licence plate on it had been stolen from a different vehicle in Red Deer.  

Paradoski, 37, and Nicholas Wales, 26, both of Red Deer, have been charged with numerous offences.

Paradoski’s charges include the following:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking x3

Possession of property obtained by crime x3

Theft

Flight from Peace Officer

Fail to Comply with Release Order x5

Dangerous operation of motor vehicle

Wales’ charges include:

Possession for the purpose of trafficking x3

Possession of property obtained by crime x3

Theft

Trafficking in property obtained by crime

Fail to compy release condition

At the time of the arrests, both Paradoski and Wales were facing other criminal charges. Both have been remanded into custody following Judicial Interim Release Hearings.
