Desmond Jared Shane Catcheway
WINNIPEG, Man. — The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit (MIHRSOU) is a joint forces unit of the Winnipeg Police Service and the RCMP. MIHRSOU today provides information regarding Desmond Jared Shane CATCHEWAY, 37 years of age, a convicted sex offender who is considered a high risk to re‑offend in a sexual and/or sexually violent manner against females, both youth and adults.
CATCHEWAY was released from Milner Ridge Correctional Centre, Manitoba on August 27, 2026, and will be subject to conditions imposed in accordance with a Recognizance Order. CATCHEWAY served a sentence for 6 months and 12 days regarding convictions for Fail to Comply with Prohibition Order and Breach of Recognizance.
CATCHEWAY has a history of sexual and violent offences and numerous breaches of failing to comply with court ordered conditions.
CATCHEWAY is expected to take up residence in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
