Carson Alexander Parago (Centerpoint Church)
A 23-year-old pastor and youth camp director has been charged after allegedly grooming and sexually assaulting a teenage camp counsellor over an eight-month period, Winnipeg police say.
The Winnipeg Police Service’s Sex Crimes Unit received information in March 2026 about a sexual assault involving an adult pastor who directed a youth camp group.
Investigators determined that between August 2025 and March 2026, the pastor forged a sexual relationship by grooming and gaining the trust of a youth camp counsellor who was a teenager at the time.
Police say the survivor met with the accused on multiple occasions in private. The accused also sent sexually explicit material to the teen.
On April 30, 2026, Carson Alexander Parago, 23, was charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation, luring a person under 18 years of age by means of telecommunication, and transmitting, making available, distributing or selling sexually explicit material to a person under 18 years of age.
Parago was released by the court on conditions.
