Calgary Police Homicide Unit has charged a man in relation to a fatal assault that occurred last month in the southeast community of Ogden.
At approximately 9 p.m., on March 25, 2026, police were called for reports of a physical altercation occurring in a home in the 2300 block of Crestwood Road S.E.
Upon arrival, police located a man in his 20s suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.
As the investigation progressed, officers executed search warrants in the 0 to 100 block of Citadel Estates Terrace N.W.
As a result, Wedial Buom Met, 22, is charged with one count of second-degree murder. MET is scheduled to next appear in court on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
This is believed to be a domestic-related incident and there is no threat to public safety.
