Battlefords RCMP arrested and charged two women in relation to a firearm discharge in North Battleford.
On February 16, 2026 at approximately 10:15 p.m., Battlefords RCMP received a report of an altercation outside a residence on Clark Drive in North Battleford.
Officers responded and determined the altercation occurred between a group of people. A firearm was discharged during the altercation. No one was injured as a result of the firearm being discharged.
Officers continued to investigate.
On February 17, Battlefords RCMP located and arrested two adult females at a residence on Sweetgrass First Nation. While inside the residence, officers located and seized a handgun, a firearm magazine, and ammunition.
As a result of investigation, 24-year-old Alexa White from Sweetgrass First Nation is charged with assault with a weapon, possession of restricted firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without license/registration, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon or restricted weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and discharging a firearm while being reckless.
21-year-old Lexie White from Sweetgrass First Nation is charged with assault with a weapon, discharge firearm while being reckless, restricts/obstruct peace officer, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm with a tampered serial number, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Alexa White and Lexie White are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Feb. 19
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services assisted in this investigation.
Battlefords RCMP continue to investigate.
