The intelligence-led initiative focused on disrupting violent gang activity and drug trafficking in the city
A targeted enforcement operation in Kamloops last week resulted in the seizure of multiple firearms and illicit drugs. The Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of British Columbia (CFSEU-BC) Uniform Gang Enforcement Team (UGET), in partnership with the Kamloops RCMP Detachment, conducted the operation from December 9 to 12, 2025.
Officers were deployed throughout Kamloops, with particular attention to the North Shore and other areas identified through intelligence and community safety concerns. Police seized 11 illegally possessed firearms and 1.75 kilograms of illicit drugs, including suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and crystal methamphetamine. Authorities also confiscated additional weapons and cash believed to be associated with drug trafficking.
“This operation highlights the strength of our partnership with the Kamloops RCMP and our shared commitment to community safety,” said Sgt. Sarbjit K. Sangha, Media Relations Officer for CFSEU-BC. “By removing illegal firearms and toxic drugs from our streets, we reduce the risk of violence and disrupt criminal networks that prey on vulnerable individuals.”
“Through coordinated efforts and intelligence sharing between the Kamloops RCMP Crime Reduction Unit and CFSEU’s UGET officers we continue to leverage every opportunity to disrupt those intent on causing harm to our communities, through violence and illicit drugs”, said Superintendent Pelley, Officer in Charge of the Kamloops RCMP Detachment.
The enforcement initiative was focused on disrupting violent gang activity and drug trafficking in the City of Kamloops. CFSEU-BC continues to support police agencies throughout British Columbia through intelligence-led enforcement aimed at reducing gang violence and organized crime.
