On November 12, 2025, members of the Kingston Police Patrol Division responded to four separate 9-1-1 calls in relation to the manner in which a pick-up truck was being operated through the city.
At approximately 7:20 p.m. a patrol officer observed the pick-up truck at Concession Street and MacDonnell Street. The officer attempted to stop the pick-up truck however the truck made no attempt to stop and fled eastbound on Concession Street at a high rate of speed. Officers observed sparks emanating from the rear passenger side of the pick-up truck, as it was operating on its rim.
The truck was located a short time after on Adelaide Street, with the driver still inside. Officers arrested the driver who was then taken to Kingston Police Headquarters.
The 21-year-old driver of the truck from Kingston was charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, fail to stop for police and breach of probation. They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
