The Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team and the Parkland RCMP Crime Reduction Unit make arrests after locating a stolen vehicle in the area of Parkland County. RCMP have recovered;
- A stolen 2005 GMC Sierra; and
- A stolen firearm.
On December 19, 2025, RCMP attempted to atop a suspicious vehicle in Parkland County. The vehicle fled the area. Thanks to EPS Air one, police observed the vehicle until a tire deflation device was successfully deployed and the vehicle occupants were arrested. RCMP have charged a 48-year-old male resident of Busby, Jason Pelletier and a 45-year-old female resident of Morinville, Danielle Sanders with the following:
- Possession of property obtained by crime (x2);
- Careless use of firearm;
- Unsafe Storage of a firearm;
- Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm;
- Possession of a firearm when knowing possession unauthorized;
- Possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle;
- Possession of a firearm with ammo without licence.
Jason Pelletier was additionally charged with five counts of weapons possession contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization.
Jason Pelletier was remanded into custody and is to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Evansburg on Dec. 22, 2025. Danielle Sanders was released on a release order and is to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on Jan. 14, 2026.
