On Dec. 18, 2025, after a short investigation into a known drug trafficker, the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP Crime Reduction Unit with assistance from the Fort Saskatchewan General Investigation Section executed a drug Search Warrant at a residence in the Pine View area of Fort Saskatchewan.
During the search, police seized:
- More than liter of GHB;
- 27 grams of cocaine;
- 1.2 pounds of crystal methamphetamine;
- 500 ml of liquid methamphetamine; and,
- 100 rounds of ammunition.
Police also discovered evidence of methamphetamine manufacturing inside the home.
As a result, Scott Allen Tanner (46), a resident of Fort Saskatchewan, has been charged with:
- Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking;
- Possession of GHB for the Purpose of trafficking;
- Possession of cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking;
- Production of Methamphetamine;
- Fail to comply with firearms / ammunition Prohibition;
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public.
Tanner was brought before a Justice of the Peace and the matter was adjourned to Monday Dec. 22, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in Edmonton.
