The New Brunswick RCMP has rescued an individual from the woods following a distress call on Eel River Bar First Nation, N.B.
On December 8, 2025, at approximately 8 p.m., members of the Campbellton RCMP detachment received a report of an individual who was in distress after getting lost in the woods on Eel River Bar First Nation. Within minutes, police arrived on scene, and a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) was deployed to assist in the search.
A short time later, thanks to the quick coordination between responding officers on foot and the use of specialized equipment, the individual was located and safely rescued. They were then transported to the hospital by paramedics for medical assessment.
