The Alberta RCMP’s Community Response Team with the assistance of Parkland RCMP arrested two males in an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle that fled from police in Stony Plain, Alta.
On Oct. 23, 2025, the Alberta Community Response Team identified a 1999 Ford Explorer with an expired license plate. Police attempted to stop the vehicle travelling Northbound on Highway 779 where it fled from Police. Police were able to successfully deploy a tire deflation device on Range Road 20 and Township Road 541 near Onoway. As a result of the vehicle swerving to avoid the tire deflation device, the vehicle entered the opposing ditch and rolled.
The driver, Cody Patzer, a 35-year-old male resident of Alberta Beach was subsequently arrested and charged with:
- Flight from Police; and,
- Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
The passenger, a 33-year-old male resident of Edmonton was also arrested for outstanding warrants.
Cody Patzer was held for a bail hearing and released from custody on a release order. He is to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on Nov. 19, 2025.
