The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) Homicide Section has charged two males in the murder of a 34-year-old woman found deceased late last week.
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at approximately 6:30 a.m., Northwest Patrol officers responded to a 911 call in the area of Conestoga Street and Bonaventure Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a deceased 34-year-old female.
An autopsy took place on Wednesday, September 25, 2025, and confirmed that Shallu, 34, died as a result of multiple stab wounds and the manner of death was homicide.
On Monday, September 22, 2025, investigators charged Roshan Lal, 39, and Bal Kishan, 41, with first degree murder. The victim and two accused were known to each other.
According to media reports, the victim was the wife of one of the accused but police didn’t release her last name. People who knew the woman are claiming it was an “honour” killing.
