The Toronto Police Service has arrested a man wanted on a Canada-wide Warrant in the homicide of 43-year-old Paulin Harusha on September 13, 2025.
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, at approximately 11:56 p.m., police responded to a call for a Shooting in the Victoria Park Avenue and Sheppard Avenue East area.
It is alleged that:
- police responded to reports that someone had been shot
- officers arrived on scene and located a male victim inside a vehicle suffering from injuries
- the suspects fled the scene in a light coloured SUV prior to police arrival
- life-saving measures were performed, but the victim was pronounced deceased on scene
On Monday, September 22, 2025, Meelad Tarin turned himself in to police. He has been arrested and charged with:
- First Degree Murder
He was scheduled to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
