On Sept. 18, 2025, The RCMP’s Western Alberta District’s Crime Reduction Unit (WAD CRU) and Peace Regional RCMP were conducting proactive patrols in search for a suspicious vehicle traveling in the area of Dixonville when a vehicle was located without a matching plate.
Upon further investigation, it was learned that the vehicle was stolen from a residence the area of Mackenzie County on Aug. 7, 2025.
While searching the vehicle, Peace Regional RCMP located and seized:
- Approximately 487.7 grams of suspected Amphetamine in crystal form
- Approximately 17.2 grams of suspected Amphetamine made to look like small pink, purple and blue beads
- Approximately 23.6 grams of suspected Amphetamine, in crystal form hidden inside of shotgun shells.
- A firearm
- Various ammunition
- Drug paraphernalia
- Bottles of suspected Gamma-Hydroxybutyrate (GHB)
- The stolen blue Ford F150
- A myriad of tools
- Jewelry, rings and watches
- Evidence of copper wire stripping

More items are anticipated to be discovered in an inspection of the vehicle with Forensics and RCMP will be working to try to locate the rightful owners of any items located by cross referencing regional files with descriptions of stolen tools and personal items.
Peace Regional RCMP are sharing some images of the suspected Amphetamines for awareness and ask for community members to remain vigilant if they find any items that look similar, especially given how some looks like beads one would use for crafts or that a child may play with unknowingly.
Safety of the community is a significant priority and if you suspect you have found an item that looks similar, do not touch it and call RCMP.

This investigation is still ongoing. RCMP are seeking public assistance in providing any information that may assist the investigation with identifying the individuals driving the vehicle, or any information regarding the drugs or firearm located inside.
