Camden Guille-Sikora (Nelson RCMP)
The search for Camden Guille-Sikora has been suspended after extensive search and rescue as well as investigative efforts.
On Aug. 14, 2025, the Nelson RCMP received a report of that Camden Guille Sikora was missing and had not been seen since July 20, 2025. It was not unusual for Camden to be gone for several days at a time. Considering several weeks had passed, there was growing concern for his wellbeing. Despite police exploring several options, Camden was not initially located.
On Aug. 24, 2025, Camden’s vehicle was located abandoned at the Jumbo Pass trailhead on the Glacier Creek Forest Service Road. An exhaustive search of the area was completed by Kaslo Search and Rescue (SAR) personnel and neighbouring SAR teams, including the Jumbo Moraine Trail and Jumbo Pass Mountain areas. Search efforts involved advanced techniques and specialized resources, including ground search teams, dog teams, remotely piloted aircraft systems (aka drones), helicopters and the deployment of a RECCO device flown in from Vernon SAR, as well as the review of trail camera footage provided by the K’tunaxa first nation Council.
Despite these exhaustive efforts, Camden has not been located, and the search has now been suspended.
“Considering multiple factors, including the time missing and the area he’s believed to be in, this is tragically now likely a recovery, not a rescue, and we would ask the public not to endanger their own personal safety in order to continue the search,”
said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP. “However, experienced and prepared backcountry users should be aware that Camden is believed to be in the area and are asked to mark and report any signs they might encounter on their adventures.”
Camden is described as:
- Caucasian man
- 39 years
- 5 ft 9 in (175 cm)
- 161 lbs (73 kg)
- Blonde hair
- Blue eyes
The RCMP and Search and Rescue teams wish to thank all those who contributed their time, expertise and resources in the challenging operation.
