The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking the public’s assistance locating a 38-year-old man wanted for a 2019 shooting death in central Edmonton. Homicide detectives have identified Fahiye Ahmed, 38, as the accused in this shooting death and a province-wide warrant for second-degree murder has been issued for his arrest.
At approximately 7:20 a.m. on Dec. 25, 2019, it was reported that shots were fired in the area of 117 Street and 107 Avenue. A 28-year-old male victim was found outside the apartment building. EMS responded to the scene and the victim was treated by paramedics but passed away shortly after. Persons were observed leaving the scene in vehicles.
The Edmonton Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Abdinasir Abdullahi Shire, 28, died from gunshot wound.
