On Aug 27, at approximately 8 a.m., Nipawin RCMP were called to assist Saskatchewan conservation officers with Provincial Protective Services at a traffic stop on a grid road, west of Nipawin, Sask.
Nipawin RCMP attended and found the Conservation Officers had stopped a male and a female travelling with a significant quantity of illicit drugs and weapons.
Nipawin RCMP officers further searched the vehicle and located one semi-automatic rifle, one flashlight taser, approximately 200 grams of methamphetamine, 54 grams of cocaine, a sum of cash and additional drug paraphernalia.
All items were seized, and the male and the female were arrested by police.
As a result of police investigation, 35-year-old Tyler Sheridan of Nipawin, and 30-year-old Maureen Head of Melfort, are both charged with:
- 2 counts, possession for purpose of trafficking;
- 1 count, unauthorized possession of a firearm in motor vehicle; and
- 2 counts, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose.
Maureen Head is additionally charged with:
- 1 count, unauthorized possession of firearm/
Tyler Sheridan is additionally charged with:
- 1 count, possession of firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized.
- 2 counts, possession of a firearm contrary to order/
Tyler Sheridan and Maureen Head will next appear in court on September 4, 2025 in Melfort via CCTV
Nipawin RCMP continue to investigate.
