One man is dead and another injured following an early-morning altercation in the community of Marshall, prompting an ongoing investigation by Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes.
At approximately 4:30 a.m. on April 24, Maidstone RCMP received a report of an incident involving two men outside a residence on 2nd Avenue in Marshall. According to police, an altercation occurred between the individuals, resulting in injuries to both.
Emergency Medical Services and RCMP officers responded immediately after one of the men called for assistance. One male was pronounced dead by EMS while en route to hospital. His identity has not been released, but his family has been notified. The second man was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes has since taken over the investigation. An adult male has been arrested in connection with the incident, though no charges have been laid as of yet.
Investigators are appealing to the public for assistance. Residents of Marshall are asked to review their home security or doorbell cameras for any suspicious activity between 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. on April 24.
