Sûreté du Québec police are investigating the shooting death of a 58-year-old businessman in Île-Perrot on Feb. 23. Adamo Izzi died in hospital earlier this month from his several gunshot wounds.
Izzi owned a limousine company in Florida.
Days before he was shot, he posted on Facebook, saying, “I am fully aware of my mortality but at 58 years old I still wake up every morning with the desire to misbehave. Age is not a barrier when you find passion in what you do. The real secret lies in keeping your curiosity alive, continuing to learn, and not letting the fear of time stop you from enjoying life.”
According to Quebec media reports, Izzi was in a BMW SUV outside a house on 24th Ave. when he was shot.
The Journal de Montréal reported that the gunman snuck up to Izzi and shot him several times in the head. The woman who was on the other end of the conversation ended up calling 911 from Florida.
