The death of a Chilliwack woman on April 21 has been determined to be a homicide.
At about 11 a.m. on that day, Chilliwack RCMP were called about a suspicious occurrence in the 7500-block of Vedder Road. A woman’s body was found by first responders.
Police identified the woman as 37-year-old Chantelle Ruhl of no fixed address to help with the investigation. She was known to frequent the area where she died.
The Chilliwack RCMP serious crimes unit worked with a forensics squad and turned the investigation over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Unit (IHIT).
