A 19-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested on March 17 and is facing terrorism charges after an investigation by the RCMP Federal Policing National Security Enforcement Section (NSES), Northwest Region
In February 2025, NSES Northwest Region began an investigation following a referral from the Winnipeg Police Service.
RCMP NSES charged Nevin Thunder Youth with facilitating a terrorist activity, participation in activity of a terrorist group, and commission of an offence for a terrorist. Group.
Young remains in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre appeared at the Winnipeg Provincial Court on March 18, 2025.
