The Toronto Police Service is updating the public on a Homicide investigation.
On Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 6:10 a.m., police attended a call for a Stabbing at an apartment building in the Lawrence Avenue East and Kingston Road area.
It is alleged that a male victim was located inside an apartment unit who had been stabbed. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene
The victim has been identified as Jason Hines, 43, of Toronto.
Michael Currie, 55, of Toronto, has been charged with Second Degree Murder
He was scheduled to attend court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 10 a.m., in room 103.
