Wood Buffalo RCMP are requesting assistance from the public to identify a suspect in relation to a robbery in Fort McMurray.
On Feb. 17, a male proceeded to shop at the Save-On Foods located in the 100 block of Riverstone Ridge in the community of Timberlea. He collected items and at approximately 6 p.m., left the store without paying.
An employee from the business followed the suspect out of the store and approached him, asking him to return to pay for the groceries. The suspect then threatened to shoot the employee.
The suspect was seen getting into a dark coloured pick-up truck and left the parking lot, last seen northbound on Prospect Drive. The employee was not injured in the interaction with the suspect. Police have obtained surveillance photos of the suspect.

The suspect is described as:
Male;
20 to 30 years-old;
Approximately 6’ (183cms) tall;
Dark coloured facial hair;
Wearing a dark coloured hoodie;
Toque.
The truck is described as:
Dark coloured Chevrolet;
Licence plate was obstructed;
Large generator in the box of the truck.
Wood Buffalo RCMP continue to investigate the robbery.
