Man found dead in Yorkton home, police search for 61-year-old woman

Police are looking to locate 61-year-old Donna Spilchen (Radom) to confirm her safety after they found a man deceased at a home on 6th Avenue North in Yorkton, Sask.

On Nov. 30, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Yorkton RCMP had received a request to complete a welfare check on the man. Yorkton RCMP secured the scene for further investigation and Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating his death, which has been ruled a homicide. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is working to positively identify the victim.

RCMP are also working Spilchen (Radom). She is about 5-feet and 120 pounds. She has black hair. Police say they don’t have a photo.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking residents to report all information about her whereabouts immediately.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is also asking anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity, or captured video surveillance footage, in the area of 6th Avenue North in Yorkton in the early hours of November 30, to contact them.

RCMP say they are unable to provide additional information about this investigation at this time and updates will be provided when available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, they will notify the public.
