On Sept. 25, 2025, RCMP were made aware of a stolen Kenworth C500 boom truck that was being tracked by GPS. The truck was originally stolen from the Bonnyville area however was tracked North of Edmonton.
Members of the Central Alberta Crime Reduction Unit (CAD CRU) were deployed and began surveillance of the vehicle until it reached Whitecourt. The suspect was observed parking the vehicle in an empty industrial lot and was quickly arrested when he left the truck.
RCMP have charged 44-year-old, Dallas Justin Donally, with:
- Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5000;
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000;
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose;
- Possession of break in tools;
- Theft of motor vehicle.
Donally was taken before a Justice of the Peace and remanded into custody with his next court date set for Sept. 29, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.
