Police release photos of Carter Cooke and Tkhu Khyonh “Mika” Nhuien in hopes that potential victims, witnesses, or anyone with information might come forward
Surrey Police Service and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit are appealing for information on additional victims in a child exploitation investigation. The investigation has resulted in two arrests and charges.
In October 2024, Surrey RCMP Special Victims Unit investigators began an investigation involving alleged offences between 2021 and 2024 related to child sexual abuse material. Investigators identified a man and a woman as suspects.
On December 10, 2025, the BC Prosecution Service approved charges for 28-year-old Carter Cooke and 21-year-old Tkhu Khyonh “Mika” Nhuien. The investigation remains open, and police believe there may be additional victims. Police have released photos of the two accused.
Carter Cooke has been charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, distribution of child pornography on four counts, sexual interference of a person under 16 on three counts, luring a child under 18 on two counts, and making child pornography on three counts.
Tkhu Khyonh “Mika” Nhuien has been charged with sexual interference of a person under 16 on three counts, luring a child under 18 on two counts, and making child pornography on three counts.
