An adult male is charged with second-degree murder following a Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes investigation.
On November 5, 2025 at approximately 1:20 p.m., Nipawin RCMP received a request for a wellness check at a residence in Snowden, SK.
Officers responded and located a deceased female at the residence in Snowden, SK. Officers secured the scene for further investigation.
The death was considered suspicious, and a male was arrested at the scene. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took over the investigation.
As a result of continued investigation, 68-year-old Kevin Searcy from Snowden is charged with one count, second-degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code in relation to the death of 69-year-old Diane Searcy from Snowden.
The two were known to each other and in a relationship.
Kevin Searcy is scheduled to appear in Melfort Provincial Court on November 7, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes continue to investigate.
