Tonio Cantell a known gang member
On November 5, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Turtleford RCMP received a report of three injured individuals at a rural property northwest of Turtleford, SK.
Officers responded immediately and located the three injured adult males on the property. Officers attempted lifesaving measures. EMS attended and declared the three males deceased.
An adult female was arrested by RCMP in Turtleford on November 5, 2025.
Madison Paddy-Jimmy, a 25-year-old from Thunderchild First Nation, SK, is charged with one count of second-degree murder, Section 235(1), Criminal Code in relation to the death of 28-year-old Tonio Cantell from Island Lake First Nation, SK. Madison Paddy-Jimmy is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on November 7, 2025.
The two other victims are a 46-year-old male from Turtleford and investigators are working with the Saskatchewan Coroners Service to identify the third male.
No further identifying details will be provided for the two other males as the RCMP is not currently seeking the public’s assistance to further this investigation and as their names are not publicly available, we cannot identify them as per the Privacy Act. The victims’ next of kin have been notified and Victims Services offered to them.
Investigation determined each victim sustained gunshot wounds and all three deceased males are the victims of homicide. Investigators seized multiple firearms from the property.
Investigators do not believe there are additional victims or suspects.
