Toronto police identified the victim as Kananathan Kaneshnadarajah
On October 16, 2025, at 4:15 p.m., police responded to a call for a Stabbing in the Eglinton Avenue East and Danforth Avenue area.
It is alleged that a man was located without vital signs. Life-saving measures were preformed, but the man was pronounced deceased on scene.
The victim has been identified as Kananathan Kaneshnadarajah, 66, of Toronto
This is Toronto’s 34th Homicide of 2025.
Kunchitthapathan Nudpanathan, 57, of Toronto has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
He was scheduled to appear in court at Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on October 17, 2025.
