One man was arrested following the conclusion of a weapons investigation.
Shortly before 2 a.m. on Oct. 9, 2025, members of the Guns and Gangs Unit, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Avenue M South. Upon entering, officers located and arrested a 31-year-old man and seized a loaded prohibited firearm with a 30-round magazine.
As a result, William Thomas has been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, possession of a firearm without a license, careless storage of a prohibited firearm, and possession of a loaded prohibited firearm.
